Supply Chain and Product Compliance Using RoHS, REACH, and Conflict Minerals. This training program will offer an in-depth look at three important product regulations focused on materials compliance and ethical sourcing, along with the tools and policies needed to implement them.

Conflict Minerals refers to minerals and other derivatives mined in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) and in the adjoining countries, where revenues may be directly or indirectly financing armed groups engaged in civil war resulting in serious social and environmental abuses. Conflict Minerals Conflict minerals are mineral resources, raw materials and other natural resources cultivated or promoted in conflict or high-risk areas such in parts of Africa, America or Asia. The manufacture or breakdown of these substances takes place illegally and without state control, often by rebels, militias or other armed groups. Similar to Conflict Diamonds, Conflict Minerals are mined in areas where political conflict is occurring. This conflict is believed to be funded, in part, through the mining and trading of these minerals: Tantalum, Tin, Tungsten, and Gold. Conflict Minerals are Tantalum, Tungsten, Tin and Gold and sometimes referred to as 3TG minerals, if they are deemed to originate from the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) and surrounding area.
